Street art, murals, graffiti – whatever you wish to call them, they represent society’s thoughts – often as political satire or just plain creative expression. I was pleasantly surprised to see the walls of Norway bedecked with colourful, intense and quirky artwork, especially in the streets of Stavanger.
Read any travel guide about Stavanger and the accolades don’t exactly come pouring in for the city’s charms. But stop a while, gaze a while, and you’ll see the gems that exist in this city, more known for its contributions to the oil industry than its creativity.
